Inclusive Spaces, Seamless Access
In Texas, construction or alteration projects with costs of $50,000 or more must be reviewed and inspected by a Registered Accessibility Specialist (RAS) for compliance with the ADA and Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS). Our firm ensures projects meet this statutory requirement while guiding teams from early planning through final inspection.
In addition to required RAS services, we provide broader accessibility consulting under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Architectural Barriers Act (ABA), including accessibility audits, transition plans, barrier removal strategies, plan review, construction inspections, and technical assistance. We help public and private clients reduce risk, improve usability, and create inclusive, compliant environments.
With a background in urban planning, land-use regulation code, and a Licensed Registered Accessibility Specialist #1793, our firm brings a practical, solutions-oriented approach to accessible design and implementation.

Our site plan review services evaluate proposed construction and alteration projects for compliance with the Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS), ADA and ABA before construction begins. As a Registered Accessibility Specialist, we review architectural drawings and site plans to identify accessibility issues early, helping project teams avoid costly corrections and delays.

We perform accessibility inspections for projects subject to TAS, ADA, and ABA requirements. Inspections verify that elements such as accessible routes, parking areas, entrances, ramps, and restrooms are constructed in accordance with approved plans and accessibility standards.

Accessibility audits assess existing facilities to identify barriers that may limit access for individuals with disabilities. Our evaluations review site conditions, entrances, circulation paths, parking areas, and key building elements, followed by a report outlining barriers and recommended improvements.

We provide accessibility consulting throughout the design and construction process, working with architects, engineers, and developers to interpret and apply TAS, ADA and ABA. Early consultation helps prevent compliance issues and supports smoother project approvals and inspections.
Stallings Accessibility Solutions LLC was established in Dallas, Texas, as a certified Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and Women Business Enterprise (WBE) founded by Laura Lee Gunn, a Licensed Registered Accessibility Specialist, to provide professional accessibility consulting services focused on compliance with the Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS) and related accessibility regulations.
The company was formed to address a demonstrated need for independent, technically accurate accessibility expertise within commercial, municipal, and public-sector development projects. The owner's interest in accessibility began early in life, influenced by her family background. Her grandfather, Gene Stallings, and her uncle, Johnny Stallings, who had Down syndrome, played an important role in shaping her awareness of accessibility needs and the importance of inclusive environments. These early experiences contributed to a long-standing commitment to improving access for individuals with disabilities and informed her professional focus in this field.
